My career has spanned over four generations and I have had the privilege of seeing the coming of age of psychiatry.
My clinical experiences have ranged from direct patient care to developing and executing multiple types of practices. I have been involved with the early use of biological indicators (TSH Stimulation, DST, and MHPG levels), the use and development of computerized topographical brain mapping as a diagnostic and treatment aid, the use of Genomic assays to provide more objectification in the effective use of psychotropic medications and now the use of TMS.
Administratively I have managed hospitals, a managed care company, and a clinical QA company. During the same time periods I also served on many hospital executive committees, oversaw the Quality Improvement functions in outpatient, inpatient, and overseer organizations (JCAHO, URAC, Florida Healthcare Coalition) as well as continuing to practice.
